Paris Whitney Hilton was born on February 17, 1981 in New York City to Rick and Kathy Hilton. She is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton hotels. Paris has a younger sister, Nicky, who was born Nicholai Olivia Hilton on October 5, 1983, and two younger brothers, Barron Hilton and Conrad Hilton.

Paris Hilton grew up in Manhattan's Waldorf-Astoria hotel. She began her modeling career working as a fashion model for Catherine Malandrino and Marc Bouwer, and an ad campaign for Iceberg.

Magazine layouts for Vanity Fair, FHM and GQ and others followed and also some film roles, most recently "House of Wax", "Bottom's Up" and "Pledge This!" Paris and Nicole Richie starred in the "Simple Life" in 2003 and "The Simple Life 4" in 2006 and Simple Life 5 in 2007.

Paris continues to market herself in many different areas including fragrances, jewelry, sunglasses, books, canned wine and a CD entitled "Paris". Nicky has her own fashion line called Chick and is opening a chain of "Nicky O" hotels which she will decorate herself.

In 2007, a new website exposed Paris Hilton's private belongings. ParisExposed.com obtained love letters, photos and videos belonging to the hotel heiress.
