The Cool Letters

August 31, 2007

Want to know what Hollywood celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears and Nicole Richie do when they are not busy making movies, music, TV shows or producing their very own fashion line?

Galaxie’s latest issue, which is out on newsstands now, tells you who’s doing what in an A to Z list.

For instance, A is for Africa – the continent stars such as George Clooney, Madonna and U2’s Bono flock to when they want to do charity work; K is for getting Knocked Up – speculation surrounding celebs sporting what seems to be a “baby bump” (think Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie); and P is for Pinkberry – addictively delicious frozen yogurt that has Renee Zellweger, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Bosworth lining up for more than an hour.

Speaking of Knocked Up, Katherine Heigl talks exclusively to Galaxie about her hit movie.

“I walked into the audition really intimidated and nervous? I felt really grateful that I was given this shot.”

Will she give up TV and do movies instead? “My intention is to stay a part of Grey’s Anatomy,” she says. “But I’d like the best of both worlds, to have a steady job nine months in the year, and then during the three-month hiatus do a film.”

Also in the same issue, Bollywood hunk Zayed Khan reveals to Galaxie about getting Hollywood offers and how he got started in Hindi cinema. In the process, he name-drops Shah Rukh Khan and his brother-in-law Hrithik Roshan.

Plus, David Beckham admits he is a junk food junkie and his snacking habits have angered his Los Angeles manager especially since he has been photographed eating the unhealthy stuff.

And, Emma Watson shows us that, unlike some of the other young celebs her age, she has good taste and class when it comes to what she wears in public.

Galaxie magazine, published by The Star Publications (M) Bhd, also has a presence online at galaxieblog.com.my. Here, readers will have access to the latest news and views on pop culture, brief interviews with stars and more.
