Nicole Richie: Nicole got pregnant to stay out of jail is what some rumors have suggested. Nicole Richie is dismissing wild rumors surrounding her pregnancy according to NW Magazine.

"I got pregnant because I want to turn my life around," the 25-year-old confessed to friends and family during an emotional meeting recently.

Richie is reportedly hurt and furious over the speculation that she's having Joel Madden's baby just to avoid incarceration.

"She's fed up with all the misinformation being tossed around, especially the ridiculous claims that she got pregnant on purpose to stay out of prison," a friend reveals. "Hearing that one made her really anxious to speak out and set the record straight."
