Paris Comes To Helsinki

For those who follow these things, the hot news of the day is that American heiress and A-list celebutante Paris Hilton has arrived in Finland.

Hilton and her boyfriend Benji Madden flew in on a scheduled Finnair flight from Tallinn, where Madden's band Good Charlotte had a gig on Wednesday.

Good Charlotte will be on stage in the Helsinki Ice Hall tonight, and in addition Benji Madden has a DJ spot later in the evening at the Helsinki nightclub Lux.

As she is not known to be overly publicity-shy, Paris Hilton is widely expected to show up today in the Helsinki streets. Yesterday afternoon she was spotted in Tallinn, out walking with her boyfriend.
As a thoroughbred party animal, Paris is also likely to be visible in the capital's nightlife tonight.
Restaurant-owner Sedu Koskinen reported to Helsingin Sanomat at around noon that "a little bird had been saying" Hilton would appear at Lux with her boyfriend.

The 27-year-old blonde is one of the world's best-known and most-photographed celebrities, and belongs to the American family whose fortune rests on the hotel business that carries the family name.
She has also been in the headlines for her modelling, product endorsement, partying, singing, and acting endeavours, and for the dozens of more and less prominent boyfriends in whose company she has been seen. She has been going out with Benji Madden for just over a month.
