Loved Up Paris Hilton Books Into Budget Hotel In Liverpool

Paris Hilton surprised staff at a Liverpool hotel on Monday when she checked into a single room, costing just £45 a night, at a less than luxurious hotel.

The heiress is currently in the UK with boyfriend Benji Madden and his band Good Charlotte, and travelled to the European Capital of Culture ahead of the band’s gig at the Carling Academy on Monday night.

A source at the nearby Lord Nelson Hotel told the Mirror: “They arrived in a muddy Range Rover and had only booked a single room. We were shocked when we saw Paris walk through the door - you don’t normally get Hollywood celebs coming here.”

“She stayed in her room and her boyfriend met her later and they had a drink at the bar. When people started pestering her for an autograph, Benji told his security and they kept the blokes away.”

An onlooker added: “Paris was very quiet. She was with Benji so I asked her for a picture and she said she just wanted to drop her bags off first.”

“She came out of the gig at about half nine to go back to the hotel - still wearing her sunglasses.”

“Benji came out of the hotel about midnight, had his picture taken and signed autographs. They were holding hands the whole time.”

The hotel is rated at around 2.5 out of 5 on the hotel comparison website, Trip Advisor, and based on visitor votes, is ranked at number 40 out of the city’s 73 hotels.

A spokesman for the hotel told the Metro: “Paris was so nice, so down-to-earth. She was very complimentary about the hotel - she said it was lovely.”

In related news, Paris wrote a blog entry during her stay in Merseyside, expressing her love for Benji.

She wrote: “I’ve never felt so happy and in love, [Benji] is such an amazing guy and life has never been better.”

“It’s so much fun going to their shows every night, I now know every song off by heart.

“I love Good Charlotte, they rock.”

The pair started dating at the end of February after Benji split from fiancee Sophie Monk at the start of the month. They are said to have been friends for a while, through Benji’s brother Joel Madden who has a child with Paris’ friend Nicole Richie.
