International Eyes On Danish Fashion

Vogue, Elle, Paris Hilton and a Chinese pop star. Everybody is in Copenhagen to look at Danish fashion this week.

Copenhagen is basking in international attention this week. The Copenhagen fashion week, one of most important ones in Europe, will open on 6 August. And the fashion week attracts celebrities and international fashion magazines to the capital. Among guests is the famous hotel heiress Paris Hilton who will drop by to throw stardust over the fashion fair in Øksnehallen just as Kelly Cha – famous pop star in Asia – is to look into Danish fashion, writes Ritzau news agency.

A Chinese TV team from Harpers Bazaar Fashion Television Beijing is also scheduled and they are accompanied by a real celebrity - Kelly Cha - who is a much celebrated singer-songwriter in Asia. In the TV show the fashion week will appear through her eyes and she will therefore sit in the first row at various fashion shows during the week, says information chief Berit Sandberg Jarmin of Danish Textile & Clothing Industries.

The blond hotel heiress will visit the fashion week to do PR for her own clothes and handbag design.

Several of the international fashion magazines will also guest Copenhagen. Such as for example the Spanish version of Vogue, Dutch Elle, US style.com, Italian Collezione Donna and Sportswear International.

Up to 50,000 journalists and people from the industry are expected to visit Copenhagen in connection with the fashion week.
