Brandon Davis Detained In Australia For Carrying Too Much Cash

Brandon Davis, the trust-fund kid and grandson of oil magnate Marvin Davis, was detained by customs officials in Australia early Saturday for having too much money on him. Davis was attempting to make his way into Sydney when he was delayed for more than two hours.

A Customs spokesman declined to comment on Davis' detainment for privacy reasons, but did indicate that travellers were required to declare if they were carrying more than $10,000 or the equivalent in foreign currency.

Davis' model girlfriend, Cheyenne Tozzi had accompanied him on the flight, and according to witnesses, became increasingly agitated while waiting for Brandon in the arrivals area.

One witness told the Daily Telegraph, "She was pacing around the whole time, with her mobile phone at her ear, trying to look anonymous. With her sunglasses on inside, everyone was looking at her."

Davis, 28, who began dating Tozzi last year, was at last allowed through to meeting a waiting car and driver at about 10:30am, after arriving in Sydney on an 8am flight from the United States.

But by the time Brandon was freed, Tozzi had already left the airport and was picked up by friends in another vehicle, leaving her man behind.

After leaving the airport, Brandon reportedly drove to Kings Cross where he cleaned out one exchange bureau of Australian dollars, before heading to another exchange center.

Brandon and Cheyenne were reuinted later in the day at his Park Hyatt suite. The couple later joined Tozzi's sister Tahyna and her boyfriend, Koby Abberton, and some friends at the Blue Room nightclub in Darlinghurst.

Davis and Tozzi caused a media sensation last July when they first began dating. At the time, Tozzi was still linked to Aussie surf champ Taj Burrow. Photos of the pair frolicking on the beach and in the waters off Miami beach got back to Burrow, who ended the long-term relationship with Tozzi. Burrow described seeing the photos as "the worst moment of my life."

Brandon Davis has previously dated a string of Hollywood starlets, including: Paris Hilton, Mischa Barton, and Lindsay Lohan.
