Is Paris Hilton Engaged?

Dear me, it's all getting a bit too much today. Britney Spears has been snapped again. Nicole Richie has had her baby. Christina Aguilera might have had her baby (watch this space). And now Paris Hilton is wearing a ring on her engagement finger.

For here was Paris last night: arriving at Goa nightclub in LA and causing a stir as usual in her little teal dress and her swipe of pink lipstick.

But what's of more interest to the eagle-eyed celebrity-watchers out there - that's you, by the way - is the great big rock Ms Hilton is wearing on the fourth finger of her left hand.

So has Paris's boyfriend Alex Vaggo popped the question? Or is this just a way to guarantee Paris coverage on a weekend when Britney, and now Nicole, are dominating the celebrity news? Unfortunately, if it's the latter, then I seemed to have succumbed to her fiendish plot. Doh!
