Monk And Madden Deny Split

Aussie model/actress Sophie Monk and Good Charlotte's Benji Madden have denied rumours of being split up.

In a statement to US Magazine, the couple's publicist wrote: "As Nicole Richie and Joel Madden anticipate the birth of their first child, a rep for Madden's rocker brother, Benji, confirms that, despite reports of a split, his romance is still going strong.

"In response to recent rumors that the couple had broken up, Good Charlotte's rep tells Us: "Benji Madden and Sophie Monk are together and very happy."

Madden and Australian model/actress Monk, both 28, have been engaged since December 2007.

Rumours have started to fly about the couple's relationship being rocky, after Monk recently flew back to Australia without her fiance.

Speculation the couple were having problems first surfaced when Monk cancelled a scheduled appearance at Carols by Candlelight, citing "family reasons".

Panned by local critics after a poor showing as a presenter at the AFI awards in Melbourne, Monk cut a forlorn figure battling the barrage on her own, when she was spotted in the days that followed, jogging on her own through a Rushcutters Bay park in Sydney.
